With a background as a textile designer, Georgina is highly skilled in painting on linen, plywood, and canvas. She spent 5 years in Barcelona as a freelance print and textile designer before returning to Nelson, New Zealand, with her family. Her current paintings and prints are completely captivating—truly something to be admired!
We have loved Georgina’s work since we first laid eyes on its wonderful blocks of colour and organic brush-marks. Influenced by the Fauves with their gestural and abstract expressionism, her work includes primarily semi-abstracted landscapes, still life and portraits. Georgina’s design background shines through her earthy palettes and expressive brushstrokes—she has an eye trained for depth and richness.
