We are lucky enough to represent passionate ceramic artists who produce the most gorgeous pieces fit for any space. Often pushing boundaries, the mediums and finishes of these ceramics are each unique but complementary to each other. Many displayed here in Turua can be kept as sculptural pieces or used as precious vessels for your favourite flora! Enjoy the brightly coloured works of Annie Smits Sandano, or the eccentricity of Jacqueline Kampen’s wheel-thrown stoneware, perfect with or without plants. For the strictly ornamental, Robin Ranga’s touching plaques and sculptures are real treasures to behold. The ever changing Turua ceramics collection is a must see.
A delicate mode of artistry, glass manipulation requires much skill and vision to create gorgeous, light-refracting works—just look at what Frances Hanson can do! We are fortunate to host her breath-taking glass pieces, sweetened with gorgeous jewel tones. These finely-shaped works are handmade and kiln-formed, perfect as contemporary décor. We particularly enjoy popping bunny-tails in the cleverly appointed slots, for a splash of the beach! Glass artwork is always a hit—since first the first gallery showing, Frances’ works have been a firm favourite.
