Sara Langdon

Sarah Langdon

Sara’s paintbrush is constantly in conversation with the landscapes around her. Teasing out the beauty and drama, she truly wows us with her stunning pieces.

After gaining tertiary qualifications in graphic design and photography, Sara went on to teach art and art history in an Auckland secondary school. Though, once she had moved to London and spied artworks in the galleries and museums of Europe, she saw a horizon in which her artistic skill could be seriously practiced. Now, back in Auckland with her husband and their three children, they both take every opportunity to photograph the majesty of New Zealand landscapes.

Currently, Sara’s favoured subject to paint is the volcanic cones of Auckland. Their terraces and craters give the light interesting changes—constant new angles on familiar slopes. Sara works primarily in acrylic on board and paper to coax out these gorgeous views.

We boast a lovely collection of limited-edition prints of Sara’s beautiful paintings, and occasionally,  (if we are extra lucky) her originals can be found in Turua.
