Born in Dunedin and raised in Auckland, Marika is a talented freelance digital print artist and painter. We can’t get enough of the authentic eccentricity of her works.
Marika holds a Bachelor of Visual arts, and her work has featured in editorial publications, appeared on stationery, and is sold as fine art prints. She spends time combing through archival images that interest her, before mashing and remoulding them to create an entirely original narrative whilst still retaining that vintage feel.
Where others see a historic image used in its totality, Marika sees its potential to be refreshed through her art, giving a sense of nostalgia and quirky humour in an entirely contemporary process.
