At Turua Gallery, we are on a mission to make contemporary art accessible to all. We offer a welcoming space where you can explore a curated collection of original artworks from a diverse range of talented New Zealand artists. There is something for every art lover, whether you're a seasoned collector or discovering the joy of owning art for the very first time. We showcase artworks for all budgets and tastes, from emerging artists through to sought-after mid-career and established artists.
We are always excited to share new art with you. Our gallery is a vibrant world filled with a diverse range of mediums and styles. You'll find everything from beautiful paintings and ceramics to unique textile art and limited-edition prints. We love keeping our collection fresh, so we have a busy annual program of group and solo shows and salon hangs, ensuring there's always something new to delight and challenge you on every visit.

Brazilian-born, New Zealand-based artist Maico Camilo presents Unapologetically Dazzling, a high-energy solo exhibition featuring approximately 20–25 works drawn from his My Wonderful Self, Infinite Bloom, Abstract and Bold Figuratives series.
The exhibition is an unapologetic celebration of colour, confidence and creative liberation, bringing together heavily textured abstract works and expressive, wide-eyed figurative paintings.
Through neon layers, clashing patterns, bold checkerboards and dense impasto textures, Camilo creates an exuberant visual world that encourages viewers to embrace brilliance without hesitation.

Turua Gallery is delighted to present The Afterlight, a new collection of 20 paintings by New Zealand artist Georgina Hoby Scutt.
Working across linen and canvas with acrylic, oil and pastel oil, Georgina's paintings move between abstraction, landscape and portraiture. Figures and fragments of the natural world appear within layered compositions, creating a sense of memory, movement and connection.
Opening night will be held on Friday, 6 November from 5pm at Turua Gallery, with the exhibition running until 18 October.

One of the most anticipated exhibitions each year, the Turua Tiny Show returns on Friday 20th November, from 5pm & is our final opening for 2025. The most wonderful collection of works that are 200mm x 200mm, from the majority of our artists, each year the exhibition see’s queues waiting for the show to open.
This four day exhibition is not only the perfect way to pick a great “to me, from me” treat, and this size makes the perfect gift for the super special people in your life, a wonderful way to start an art collection, or an easy way to add to a growing collection.
Opening night is a celebration of the year we have had, lots of our artists join us for the opening event, and our Turua Tiny Show opening falls on the same evening as the St Heliers Christmas Twilight Night, that has Christmas Markets, live music, Santa and more, on the same evening.
There are no presales, so that the entire collection is available on opening night. Collection will be live online from 6pm & available works will also be able to be purchased at that time online.

Twilight Viewings are the perfect opportunity for you to join us in the gallery after 5pm & view an exhibition or collection of works we have showing, along with access to our stock room.These viewings will be perfect for you, if you're an art group who is looking to purchase your next piece, an Interior Designer wanting to work with your client to find perfect pieces, or maybe you’d like to purchase someone special a voucher & book a Twilight Viewing for them to select their gift.
With only one viewing available per evening, you will be the only viewers in the gallery & greeted with a glass of bubbles on arrival. If you are wanting to make an evening of it, we have partnered with Semplice Italian Restaurant, who are next door to our gallery. You will be able to book a meal with them after the viewing (Wed - Sat) & will be treated to a complimentary glass of Italian Prosecco on arrival to the restaurant.
