"Absorbed in the act of painting, the body moves forward but the mind moves back & forwards in time, personal memories reflect fleeting thoughts & places in an endless loop. Time moves on, the paint becomes a snapshot of a 1000 moments."

Figurative artist Dominique, has completed a special collection of figures in navy blue ink, inspired by the limited-edition Togo by Raf Simons x Kvdrat. “It sparked something in me and made me realise my love for navy blue,” she says. “I find the colour so comforting and soothing. It’s timeless and sophisticated.”Subtle Ties highlights the initial spark of inspiration for the collection & encapsulates the connections between the different elements of the show. Art and furniture, color and emotion, form and function, and the cultural influences of New Zealand & France.
