At Turua Gallery, we are on a mission to make contemporary art accessible to all. We offer a welcoming space where you can explore a curated collection of original artworks from a diverse range of talented New Zealand artists. There is something for every art lover, whether you're a seasoned collector or discovering the joy of owning art for the very first time. We showcase artworks for all budgets and tastes, from emerging artists through to sought-after mid-career and established artists.

We are always excited to share new art with you. Our gallery is a vibrant world filled with a diverse range of mediums and styles. You'll find everything from beautiful paintings and ceramics to unique textile art and limited-edition prints. We love keeping our collection fresh, so we have a busy annual program of group and solo shows and salon hangs, ensuring there's always something new to delight and challenge you on every visit.

KINDRED

Alicia Beech & Helen Dean

We are thrilled to present Kindred, a vibrant new joint exhibition by two of our much loved artists Alicia Beech and Helen Dean. Bringing together two distinct yet intuitively connected artistic practices with common threads including a deep connection to nature, movement, colour and emotional expression.

The exhibition pairs Helen’s expressive, gestural abstraction with Alicia’s intricate, nature-inspired floral works — a dynamic contrast that delivers both harmony and tension. Together, their work offers a rich interplay of movement and precision, colour and form, capturing a sense of joy and light during the winter months. This exhibition carries a unique energy. Kindred is a beautiful meeting of two artists whose practices speak to each other in unexpected ways. There’s a real sense of harmony and contrast in the work that makes it incredibly engaging — it’s full of colour, movement and joy, which feels especially powerful for a winter show.

The collection will include a wide range of works across varying sizes and price points, offering accessibility for both emerging and established collectors.

Give A Kid A Blanket Winter Collection

Collecting from Monday 18th May till Sunday 7th June

As we head into the colder months it is time for our annual collection to support our friends at "Give a Kid A Blanket". We are always so thankful for how generous our community is to help us support those in need over winter.

We welcome donations of excellent quality pre-loved and new items. No donation is too small, even a pair of socks or a preloved jumper make a difference.

WHAT WE ARE COLLECTING: For all ages & family members & all sizes of bedding.
Blankets, duvet inners and covers, sheets, sleeping bags, infant sleep sacks, NEW pillows, NEW hot water bottles, Warm infant, child, teen and adult clothing, pyjamas, robes, socks, beanies, jumpers, track pants, hoodies.

We love receiving donations of hand-crafted items such as crocheted
blankets, and knitted infant and children’s jumpers and cardigans, and beanies in all sizes.

Please reach out if you have an excellent quality preloved pram, carseat, cot, bassinet or highchair you'd like to donate.

Twilight Viewings now open for bookings

Twilight Viewings are the perfect opportunity for you to join us in the gallery after 5pm & view an exhibition or collection of works we have showing, along with access to our stock room.These viewings will be perfect for you, if you're an art group who is looking to purchase your next piece, an Interior Designer wanting to work with your client to find perfect pieces, or maybe you’d like to purchase someone special a voucher & book a Twilight Viewing for them to select their gift.

With only one viewing available per evening, you will be the only viewers in the gallery & greeted with a glass of bubbles on arrival. If you are wanting to make an evening of it, we have partnered with Semplice Italian Restaurant, who are next door to our gallery. You will be able to book a meal with them after the viewing (Wed - Sat) & will be treated to a complimentary glass of Italian Prosecco on arrival to the restaurant.
