At Turua Gallery, we are on a mission to make contemporary art accessible to all. We offer a welcoming space where you can explore a curated collection of original artworks from a diverse range of talented New Zealand artists. There is something for every art lover, whether you're a seasoned collector or discovering the joy of owning art for the very first time. We showcase artworks for all budgets and tastes, from emerging artists through to sought-after mid-career and established artists.
We are always excited to share new art with you. Our gallery is a vibrant world filled with a diverse range of mediums and styles. You'll find everything from beautiful paintings and ceramics to unique textile art and limited-edition prints. We love keeping our collection fresh, so we have a busy annual program of group and solo shows and salon hangs, ensuring there's always something new to delight and challenge you on every visit.

We are thrilled to announce the long awaited first solo exhibition for Dean Wallace.
Marking a significant milestone in his career, the exhibition brings together the three subjects Dean has become best known for—his nostalgic hydrangeas, richly textured still life works, and his sought-after Fragile series—into one cohesive and deeply personal collection.
The exhibition builds on one of Dean’s earliest and most memorable collections, Sunday Flowers, inspired by childhood visits to his grandmother’s home in Napier. Those early works—soft, evocative hydrangeas imbued with a sense of nostalgia—resonate again here, now expanded alongside still life pieces that capture the same quiet, reflective mood of a slow Sunday.

Twilight Viewings are the perfect opportunity for you to join us in the gallery after 5pm & view an exhibition or collection of works we have showing, along with access to our stock room.These viewings will be perfect for you, if you're an art group who is looking to purchase your next piece, an Interior Designer wanting to work with your client to find perfect pieces, or maybe you’d like to purchase someone special a voucher & book a Twilight Viewing for them to select their gift.
With only one viewing available per evening, you will be the only viewers in the gallery & greeted with a glass of bubbles on arrival. If you are wanting to make an evening of it, we have partnered with Semplice Italian Restaurant, who are next door to our gallery. You will be able to book a meal with them after the viewing (Wed - Sat) & will be treated to a complimentary glass of Italian Prosecco on arrival to the restaurant.
