Brutally Fragile

These brutalistic but fragile pieces were cut from the end of a sheet of iron that was rescued from Wānaka. They were hidden underneath the corrugate at just one end. A rare find. Gilly was devastated when she cut them but hand, so much of the paint flaked off - they were left bare and a little barren. Gilly sat there for a while feeling sorry for herself until she realised that all around her were these beautiful delicate pieces of paint. Gilly swept up every little gem she could find - and decided to breath new life into this iron by gluing it back on. They’re still fairly brutal - but now she thinks their heads are held high - they look gorgeous and they know it!
