Along with her much loved floral series, Carmel makes her iconic State Houses pieces.
The State House series was always going to be a small collection of 100 numbered pieces and this March we are showing the final release of the numbered State House works with numbers #60 to #100.
There will be paintings and pastel artworks in this release which will be your final opportunity to secure one of these collectors pieces.
"I like to think of the statehouses I have made recently as an alternative reality. They have always been about reinvention but now they are derived more fully from my imagination as I reflect on past references. The houses now reduced to much simpler forms to create a conversation between colour theory, depth vs flatness and illusion. And now, like the houses themselves, this series is coming to a conclusion."
There will be no presales for this special exhibition. All pieces will be available from 5pm on opening night in the gallery. The collection will be online from 6.30pm & all unsold pieces will be available for online purchase.
