Gabriella Voogt is a Christchurch based painter of Maori and Dutch heritage. After studying Visual Communication Design, she found her way into an intuitive painting practice, working primarily with florals and still life.
Playing with colour, texture and layers of paint, Gabriella lets each piece unfold naturally, without a set plan. Inspired by the beauty of flowers and gardens, her work celebrates the depth, emotion and little complexities that lie beneath the surface.
