We are thrilled to present highly sought-after artist Carmel Van Der Hoeven & her newest collection of works Mortal Dreams, opening in exhibition on November 18, at a yet-to-be-announced secret location.
Mortal Dreams promises to deliver with a collection of over 50 pieces including large scale canvas works, pastel on paper, a series of smaller State House pieces and new works that delve into floral in detail, that has been a year in the making.
The exhibition name Mortal Dreams grew from Carmel’s attempt to make sense of life. Carmel comments, “Flowers are possibly the surest way to remind us of the cycle of life and time passing, the seasons of each year. I wanted to create an echo of our world, something we recognise at first glance but on closer inspection see it is unlike our reality - like a dream”. *”Mortal Dreams will be showing at 369 Khyber Pass Road.
